Food for Special Medical Purposes

Used for the dietary management of diamine oxidase (DAO) deficiency and/or histamine intolerance associated with impaired histamine metabolism.

1 capsule contains 4.2 mg of protein extract from porcine kidneys, including 0.3 mg of the DAO enzyme. When taken before a meal, the capsule increases the amount of DAO enzyme in the small intestine, where it helps break down histamine consumed through food.

As a result, the body may break down dietary histamine more effectively, which could otherwise cause unpleasant reactions in sensitive individuals.

ENZYME STABILITY IS CRUCIAL

  • Each blister containing 15 capsules is individually protected in a special polypropylene foil with a desiccant
    – protection against air humidity to preserve the stability of the enzyme.
  • Guaranteed DAO enzyme content until the end of the minimum shelf life, i.e. 24 months.
  • Gastro-resistant capsules resistant to stomach acids ensure the release of the DAO enzyme only in the small intestine.

Recommended dosage: Take 1 capsule with water 15 minutes before consuming a meal containing histamine. The maximum daily dose is 3 capsules (corresponding to 3 histamine-containing meals per day). The recommended daily dose must not be exceeded.

Important notice: The product is intended for individuals over 3 years of age. It is not suitable for use as the sole source of nutrition. It should be used only under medical supervision. Free from histamine, gluten, and lactose.
